S103 Red Clay

S103 Red Clay (Cone 06-2)
    S-103 clay is a low fire, terra-cotta, body plastic, without grog or coarse clays.  S-103 clay is used in a variety of techniques, excellent for the schools. Throwing with the clay is rather limited due to the smooth consistency.  At Cone 06 oxidation firing the clay is a traditional terra-cotta color, and a very deep brick red at cone 2.  The sample on the left was fired to Cone 06, the sample on the right was fired to Cone 2.
